    I hold the CFP (Certified Financial Planner), CLU (Chartered Life Underwriter) and CLTC (Certification in Long-Term Care) designations, and have been growing my business in Grand Junction since 1998.

    What separates my business from the crowd is our Personal Customer Service, focusing on the financial planning process, prompt and professional client response, education, and attention to detail.  Word of mouth referrals are by far the strongest way our client base has grown, and I believe that's directly related to our philosophy that "it's not about the money, it's about your life -- and how your money affects your life". 

    The first step in creating a Financial Plan is determining where you are on the path right now.  From there we determine where on the path you want to be -- in one year, in 5 years, in 10, 20 and 50 years.  The third step is an analysis and comparison of the  first two steps.  Is where you are and what you're doing now moving you in the direction you want to go, at the right pace?  Have you planned for safety and predictability of your income in retirement, for example, with adequate cost-of-living adjustments?  If yes, great .  You are on a predictable road, so let's continue. 

    If not, what can be done differently?  After implementing the necessary changes to get you on track to meet or exceed your Financial Plan, regular meetings are scheduled to review the entire process, taking into account any changes in your goals and your current situation (ie. marriage, promotion, retirement, etc.). 

    I educate you about your investments, how I am compensated, the tax implications of various investments, and how your different accounts (IRAs, 401ks, stocks, bonds, mutual funds, Roth IRAs, annuities, insurances, etc.) compliment each other.  I help you understand what it is that you own and why, that is, how your investments work together toward your overall Financial Plan.

    Each client is an individual and my understanding of your unique concerns and circumstances is an example of the attention to detail that separates my business from others.  I take the investment success of each and every one of my clients personally. Finally, I help clients insure that their retirement dollars are spent as they were intended -- on a long and active retirement -- versus being used to pay for long-term care needs.  As a CLTC, I help clients plan for the day that their health changes, and implement the plan to pay for long-term care tax-efficiently.
